The Furniture Project Awards
Registration and Awards
We are registered members of a number of Organisations to help us deliver our service to a nationally accepted standard. We are registered with;
Entrust, the Regulator of Landfill Tax Credits.
This is firstly to access funds, however it also ensures we are informed of the latest environmental developments, as does our memberships with the Community Recycling Network for Scotland (CRNS), Furniture Reuse Network, (FRN), and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, (SEPA).
In 2002 we were given an award for our Customer Services skills towards customers and become runners up in the Scottish Enterprise Business and Learning Awards Social Enterprise Category in 2003.
In 2004 we managed to win the Social Enterprise Award and went on to become the 7th best 'Business in the Community' in the whole of Scotland.
In conjunction with Scottish Enterprise we are working towards the Investors in People Standard. This is to continue the theme of putting people first in our business. Because they are the people who deliver our service.
In 2002 and 2003 we worked with 2 consultants who undertook an evaluation of the business and company Health Check. We recognised from the findings of these evaluations how we could do things better, but what they both emphasised was how great the Furniture Project is to work with and how other organisations can learn from our experiences.
